Sky Words Worlds & Progression Guide

Sky Words takes players on a journey through 26 beautifully themed worlds, each named after a real country. Starting in Mexico and ending in Turkey, each world presents a unique set of word puzzles that increase in difficulty as you progress. This guide covers every world, what to expect, and how to make steady progress through the game.

How Progression Works

In Sky Words, levels must be completed in sequential order. You cannot skip ahead to a later world without finishing the levels in your current one. Each world contains between 60 and 100 levels, and the total game spans over 2,180 puzzles. As you advance, the puzzles introduce longer words, larger crossword grids, and less common vocabulary.

The difficulty curve in Sky Words is gradual. The first few worlds - Mexico, Brazil, and Peru - use primarily 3 to 5 letter words with straightforward grid layouts. By the time you reach mid-game worlds like India, Japan, and China, you will encounter 6 and 7 letter words with interlocking grid patterns. The final worlds - Thailand and Turkey - feature the most challenging puzzles with dense grids and uncommon word combinations.

Early Worlds (Levels 1-640)

The early worlds serve as an introduction to Sky Words mechanics. Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Cuba, and Ecuador feature shorter words, smaller grids, and generous letter sets. These worlds are ideal for learning the swiping mechanics and understanding how crossword grids work. Most players breeze through these levels, but they are also where you start building your coin reserves through bonus words.

Mid-Game Worlds (Levels 641-1440)

The middle section of Sky Words is where the real challenge begins. Worlds like India, Japan, China, Egypt, Greece, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, and Portugal introduce complex grid patterns and longer vocabulary. You will frequently encounter 6 and 7 letter words, and the crossword grids become denser with more intersecting words. This is where many players first need hints or answer guides to progress.

Late-Game Worlds (Levels 1441-2000+)

The final stretch includes Morocco, Kenya, Australia, England, Russia, Thailand, and Turkey. These worlds represent the pinnacle of Sky Words difficulty. Grids are large, words are long and sometimes obscure, and letter combinations require creative thinking. Beyond Turkey, levels 2001 and above continue at this high difficulty tier.
